What’s the difference between a student therapist, a Qualifying Psychotherapist (RP qualifying), and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP)?
Student therapists are completing their clinical training under supervision of a fully licenced psychotherapist who has been vetted by the academic institution the student is attending.

Qualifying psychotherapists are in the process of becoming fully licensed and are registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as “RP (Qualifying).”
Registered Psychotherapists (RP) have completed all requirements and are fully licensed with the CRPO.

All are trained to provide effective therapy, and student and Qualifying psychotherapists receive regular supervision to ensure high-quality care.

What’s the difference between a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP)?
Both RSWs and RPs provide therapy and may use similar approaches. The main difference lies in their educational background and regulatory bodies. Regardless of title, our clinicians are all trained, ethical professionals focused on supporting your mental health.
How long is a session?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes in length.
What types of therapy or modalities do you offer?
Our team offers a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Informed approaches (i.e., EMDR), and more. We match modalities based on each client’s unique needs.
Can I switch between in-person and virtual/phone sessions?
